St. John the Baptist Catholic Church is a historic Roman Catholic church in Maria Stein, Ohio. The church is the home of an active congregation and has been recognized as a historic site because of its well-preserved late nineteenth-century Romanesque Revival architecture. St. John's Church was completed in 1888 at a cost of $43,354. Architect-Adolphus Druiding; Contractor-Anton DeCurtins. The rectory, built in 1906, was designed by the DeCurtins Brothers in a combination of architectural styles. Joint posting to the National Register of Historic Places on July 26, 1979. St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Rectory - Egypt, Ohio
St. Joseph's Catholic Church And Rectory in Egypt, Ohio. Built in 1887, this church is home to a small Catholic parish. Since its earliest years, St. Joseph's Church has been served by the Society of the Precious Blood. By the late 1880s, the original church building had become insufficient for the parish's needs. Under the leadership of their priest, John van den Brock, the parish erected a new church in 1887 at a cost of $5,000; designed by Anton Goehr. The tower was modified in the 1940s by the replacement of its spire with a small domed belfry. Church architectural style-Late Gothic Revival. The rectory was completed in 1912, a Sears design, at a cost $6,000 plus extensive labor on the part of the parishioners. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on July26, 1979.
