Gummer House - Dayton, Ohio
Gummer House Dayton, Ohio. Builder/architect was Lewis Printz. The Gummer House was built in 1912 as a wedding gift from Mr. Henry Burkhardt to his daughter Susan Gummer. The house was completed just prior to the disastrous Dayton flood of 1913, it temporary served as a hostel for some 15 refugees. Susan lived in the home until her death in 1964. That same year, Beta Sigma Phi of Dayton purchased the home as their local headquarters. Architectural Style: Spanish Revival. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on February 17, 1978.
