PRINGLE-PATRIC HOUSE - SPRINGFIELD, OHIO









 Pringle-Patric House in Springfield, Ohio, built in 1877. The house was built on a lot purchased by Charles D. Hauk and his wife, Mary. After just a few years, they sold it to T.J. Pringle (1838-1903), who owned the house from 1881-1897 Pringle, was a significant prosecuting attorney, state senator, and co-founder of the Clark County Bar Association. In 1897, Pringle sold the property to Charles E. Patric, and retired to a home on South Fountain Avenue. He passed away in April 1903. Charles Patric (1837-1917), the subsequent owner of the house from 1897 till his death in 1917, was founder of the Superior Drill Company in Springfield, which in 1900 was the largest grain drill factory in existence and the second largest industry in Springfield at the time.
